2. Information processed
This website does not currently use accounts, newsletters, analytics or marketing cookies. When you use the contact form, the information you enter is prepared on your device in your own email application. It is received by us only if you choose to send the email. We may then receive your name, email address, subject, message and the usual email delivery information.
Cloudflare hosts the public website and may process limited technical request data, such as an IP address, date and time, requested page, browser information and security signals, to deliver and protect the website.
3. Purposes and legal bases
We use correspondence to answer enquiries and keep necessary records. We rely on our legitimate interests in communicating about the book and operating a secure website, and on legal obligations where record-keeping is required. We do not use contact information for unrelated marketing without separate permission.
4. Amazon links and approximate location
Cloudflare supplies a country code derived from your connection so the website can suggest an appropriate Amazon store. The website does not use this country code to create an account or customer profile. Purchases take place on Amazon; Amazon independently processes order, payment and delivery information under its own privacy policy.
Some Amazon links are affiliate links. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. If you buy after following a marked affiliate link, we may receive a commission at no extra cost to you.
5. Recipients and international processing
Website hosting and security are provided by Cloudflare. Email correspondence is processed by the email providers involved in sending and receiving the message. Amazon receives information only after you follow an Amazon link or use its services. These providers may process information outside the European Economic Area under their own safeguards and privacy terms.
6. Retention
General enquiries are normally kept for no longer than 12 months after the conversation ends, unless a longer period is needed for legal obligations, dispute resolution or the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims. Security logs are retained according to Cloudflare’s applicable settings and policies.
